The aforementioned amount is deposited into the employees Health Savings Account. The deposits (the total employer contribution divided by the 4 quarters of the year) are made on a quarterly basis.
An employee who chooses to opt-out of the health insurance plan and provides proof of other coverage will be eligible to receive $750.00 for the plan year. The amount is reflected as an increase of $31.25 per pay period. If the opt-out occurs mid-year then the amount will be pro-rated.
