Volunteer Opportunities

Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. strongly encourages volunteerism both for our employees and the community as a whole.   The Sexual Assault Victims Advocate Resource (SAVAR) provides free and confidential services to survivors and secondary victims of rape, incest, child sexual abuse, sexual harassment and other forms of sexual exploitation.  The SAVAR program relies on volunteer Advocates to staff the crisis hotline.  Volunteer Advocates provide crisis intervention services, short-term solution focused counseling, accompaniment and advocacy services to clients.  Volunteer Advocates must complete a free training program, be 18 years of age, have a telephone and access to a vehicle.
